For folks who want to know the status of the Iraq War today, they can listen in to the testimony of Gen. Petraeus and Amb. Crocker to the U.S. Senate--and read the plethora of reports published online today and in every national newspaper tomorrow. But on any ordinary Tuesday, updates are not so readily available.
Thankfully, a new website has been launched that can solve this problem.
IraqStatusReport.com is one great resource for those looking for new reports and thoughtful commentary. A collaboration of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), the Institute for the Study of
War (ISW) and
The Long War Journal,
IraqStatusReport.com will feature such well-respected contributors as Daveed Gartenstein-Ross (Vice President of Research, FDD), Kim Kagan (President,
ISW), Bill Roggio (Editor, Long War Journal) and others.
