Many of you probably read my
"2,996 too many" post awhile back. Here's a snippet in case you're new to Elocutio:
To pay tribute to the 2,996 victims of the tragic attack, DCROE 2996 is
organizing what will probably be the first major coalition among
bloggers to date--and arguably the most important. He is inviting all
bloggers to
sign up on his site,
and then he is assigning everyone a particular victim to commemorate on
their blog. [That's the direct link to sign up, but be sure to browse
the site in general, too.]
I have been so concerned with promoting this that I have forgotten to sign up myself! So here is the information I was given when I signed up this morning:
James R. Paul, age 58.
Place killed: World Trade Center. Resident of New York, N.Y. (USA).
James R. Paul will be honored by Katie Favazza at the blog Elocutio. This was the 2,316th blogger to sign up for the 2,996 Tribute project.
My first Google search yielded the additional information that he was an executive vice president at Carr Futures and that his death was confirmed "at/in" the building. Eerie stuff. Until September 11, I will not post any more information about Mr. Paul, but I will be rigorously researching his life in the meantime. Stay tuned for the post.
WE NEED 680 MORE BLOGGERS TO SIGN-UP! We must meet the goal so that everyone can be memorialized! Please pass the information along to all the bloggers you know.
If you have already signed up, please let me know so that I can support your endeavors and look for your tributes!
