I knew the day would come, but I didn't think it would happen so soon.
Ladies and gentlemen, I have officially earned myself a spot on the blogosphere map. (And a link from my pal
Mary K doesn't hurt either. Just ask Allah.) But seriously, thanks to a spontaneous urge to email the Queen of the Blogosphere, my name and domain are becoming famous. My pageviews and visits shot up a million-something percent. Well, almost that much anyway. Y'all are welcome to say
you knew me when.
Much more importantly, the combined effort of MM and MKH has made a real impact on the 2,996 project! MM updated
her lovely Katie F post [one more time for the folks in the back] about an hour after it was originally published:
Update: Tom, the tech guy for the blogger memorial
project, e-mails that the site has now been swamped and you may get a
slow response time. Be patient or try again if you can't register right
away. Thank you!
We did it! Thank you to everyone who signed up after reading my blog!!
If you have been meaning to sign up,
please do so NOW because all the spots might be taken by the end of the day!!
And in the meantime, I'm off to greet my swarms of fans (and by "greet my swarms of fans" I mean "have dinner with my friend's boyfriend because we're both bored"). I'll continue to reach my goal of having the
#13 best bulls*** job ever later tonight. In closing, here's a nice excerpt from my Google Talk conversation with a fellow former Townhall intern that really sums up my life plans:
Daniel: soon
you'll be driving the kids around in a minivan, and working on a book
on your laptop at games, and updating your blog
me: ah... paradise
